Review: Cherished

Cherished
Cherished by Kim Cash Tate

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cherished by Kim Cash Tate is a sweet tale of young women who are looking to find their way out of confusion and into God's love. Kellie London is a young college graduate who moves back home to St. Louis. In the past, it had been Kelli's dream to be a songwriter, but due to circumstances, she thought she had lost the will to write. When she sees her old flame Brian, the melodies slowly come back.

Heather is a woman who's direction is unclear. Although she wants to live right, her habits of affairs with married men and one night stands haunt her. She begins down a path that she couldn't see herself on, but is grateful to have a new path. Both women try to help and support each other through life's unending change.

This book is full of faith with many characters that have confidence in God and the power of prayer. Even the characters who are still searching for their own way have a knowing sense that everything will turn out for the best. It is a story that would be particularly enjoyable for Christians, but can easily be enjoyed by anyone because of the honest, detailed writing.
