Review: Let Me Be The One

Let Me Be The One
Let Me Be The One by Bella Andre

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Let Me Be the One by Bella Andre is the seventh book in the Sullivans series. It follows the love story of Ryan Sullivan, professional baseball player and all-around ladies man. When his friend from high school, Vicki, calls and asks for his help, he drops everything to assist her in fighting off a fellowship board member with less-than-honorable intentions.

Vicki Bennett, an accomplished sculptor, always knew from the moment she met Ryan in high school that there was something special about him. Now that she was back in San Francisco, their friendship could continue. But can it last when it starts to become more than friends?

This book in the series is slightly different than the previous books. While it still has a wealth of steamy scenes and a bunch of heart, it doesn't focus on a Sullivan meeting someone and instantly fall in love with them. Instead, it is about a love that has always been hiding just under the surface. The story is also different in that the characters know what they want and there is nothing holding them back, except they do not want to be the first one to say what they really feel out loud. Overall, this is another fascinating and fun installment of the Sullivans series.
