Review: Hotdogger
Hotdogger by Karla Oceanak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Hotdogger by Karla Oceanak is one of the next adventures of Aldo Zelnick. In this book, Aldo and his family are getting ready to go skiing, but Aldo isn't sure that he will like it. In fact, he knows that he would rather be any place else. He finds the winter in Colorado humdrum and he would rather go to Hawaii on his vacation where he can learn to surf and have a great time. Once Aldo works out his fears, he is ready to hit the slope and beat his brother on a fast downhill race.
This is an awesome book for kids in the 7-13 age range. Not only is the comic format fun and easy to read, but the series also focuses on vocabulary. This particular title focuses on words that begin with 'H' and the book contains a glossary of most of the 'H' words that are included in the story. I'm passing this one on to my nephew because I know he will love reading it.
